Te Komiti Teina – Maori Student Nurses Committee

Te Komiti Teina is the Māori nursing student leadership committee within Te Kaunihera o Ngā Neehi Māori o Aotearoa.
A group that represents all financial student members across Aotearoa to ensure their voice and interests are heard.

Tauira are elected to represent their Rohe (region) via their regional branches. As per the Constitution, Te Komiti Teina will consist of 10 members in total. One representative from Te Tai Tokerau, Waikato-Hauraki, Te Ikaroa-Rāwhiti, Waiariki; and two representatives from Tāmaki Makaurau, Te Tai Hauāuru and Te Tai Tonga.

Tauira from each branch will be supported to meet via their school Kaiako and Branch Chairperson to nominate their regional Tauira representative. The name/s of the Tauira will be sent to the National Executive Committee (NEC) via the administrator maorinursescouncil@gmail.com.

NEC will receive these representatives to form Te Komiti Teina – The National Tauira Committee o Te Kaunihera o Nga Neehi Māori o Aotearoa.

Tauira representatives from each of the seven regions to Te Komiti Teina shall be endorsed at the annual Te Kaunihera o Nga Neehi Māori o Aotearoa – National Council of Māori Nurses Annual General Meeting.
