Te Komiti Teina - The National Tauira Neehi Maori Committee
Tauira are elected to represent their rohe (region) via their regional branches. As per the Constitution, Te Komiti Teina will consist of 10 members in total. One representative from Te Tai Tokerau, Waikato-Hauraki, Te Ikaroa-Rāwhiti, Waiariki; and two representatives from Tāmaki Makaurau, Te Tai Hauāuru and Te Tai Tonga.
Tauira from each branch will be supported to meet via their school kaiako and Branch Chairperson to nominate their regional Tauira representative. An election process from nominations within the regional branch/es will be conducted. The elected member/s names/s will then be confirmed as the regional Tauira representative/s. The name/s of the Tauira will be sent to the National Executive Committee (NEC) via the administrator maorinursescouncil@gmail.com.
NEC will receive these representatives to form Te Komiti Teina – The National Tauira Committee o Te Kaunihera o Nga Neehi Māori o Aotearoa.
