National Māori Nurses Hui
Bringing Māori nurses together from across Aotearoa for connection, leadership, and collective advancement.
Each year, the Hui creates space to share knowledge, strengthen practice, and shape the future of Māori nursing.
About the Hui
The National Māori Nurses Hui is an annual gathering of Māori nurses from across the motu.
It is a space for whakawhanaungatanga, learning, and collective leadership—grounded in kaupapa Māori and focused on improving hauora for whānau, hapū and iwi.
Hosted by a different branch each year, the Hui reflects the diversity, strength, and shared purpose of Māori nursing across Aotearoa.
The National Māori Nurses Hui plays a vital role in strengthening the Māori nursing workforce across Aotearoa.
It creates a dedicated space for Māori nurses to come together, share knowledge, and collectively respond to the challenges and opportunities within the health system.
By connecting experience, leadership, and kaupapa Māori practice, the Hui supports stronger advocacy, more informed decision-making, and improved outcomes for whānau, hapū and iwi.
